Greetings Authors,
Are you reaching your projected writing goals? For me, time is speeding past. Instead of reaching project projections, I have accomplished many COVID home improvements. After painting walls, brightening things up and ordering new rugs, I am back to finishing the first draft of my third book in a medical thriller series.
Our author Zoom sessions are popular and I hope you will join in. Seeing friends online and sharing ideas has been working well. Be sure to check the website schedule. On each first Thursday at 7 pm, Kathy Dunnehoff has great programs planned, including a stimulus to do your own November national writing month challenge to complete a first draft in thirty days. The third Thursdays are great times to get feedback and help with projects. Second Thursday sessions are scheduled through December with guest speakers.
Some of you may be featured in Flathead Living. They requested a list of publications within the last two years for a short piece on local authors.
To help with marketing your books, I am compiling a list of all published works of Authors of the Flathead paid up members to be listed on our website (List: Ina Albert, Catherine Browning, Carol Buchanan, Leslie Budewitz, Debbie Burke, Ann Minnett, Kathy Dunnehoff, Deborah Epperson, M. Frances Ehrler, Ken Fielder, Dennis Foley, Betty Kuffel, Becky Lomax, Marie F. Martin, Angela Miller, Susan Purvis, Barbara and Glenn Schiffman). If you have a book, are not listed and have paid dues, please notify me. I plan to have it completed soon.
This was a time-consuming project. Remember to let me know of a new publication.
Note: Dues run January to January, so wait till January to pay your dues if they are not paid up now. That will pay membership through 2021. Pay membership fee online or mail a check to Authors of the Flathead, PO Box 7711, Kalispell MT 59904.
Flathead River Writers Conference: There will be a Zoom conference discussion scheduled soon. At this time, the 2021 conference is uncertain due to unknown conditions of gatherings due to continued COVID-19 spread and no effective treatment & without a tested vaccine available. Providing an online conference may be above the ability of our volunteer group. To join the discussion, please let me know so we can notify you of the Zoom time.
I ask for your help to save Bad Rock Books on Nucleus Avenue in Columbia Falls by making contributions to owner Cindy Ritter to offset plumbing repairs that resulted in basement flooding. We set up a GoFundMe page for her. She has been a super-supporter of local writers and carries all of our books. Timing is critical. Her water is shut off and an amazing selection of books is at risk. Loss of this landmark bookstore would be tragic. Here is the link. Please share it with friends. https://gf.me/u/y29cbs
Best wishes. Keep on writing.
